The graphic above distinguishes between Equality (equal treatment for everyone under the condition that not everyone is equal), Equity (those who are not equal receive extra assistance in order to overcome barriers and achieve equity), Social Justice (the removal of discriminatory barriers to empower people to fully benefit socially and economically), and Inclusive Excellence (systemic institutional review and renovation of policies, procedures, processes, traditions, and other structural dimensions to transform entitiies into equitable, diverse, and inclusive institutions for everyone.
